The Court Case

Scout and I saw Mr. Raymond, a wealthy white man with a black wife and mulatto children. He was drinking out of a paper bag and he offered me some to drink. I accepted it, even though Scout told me not to. I took a sip and realized that it was not alcohol, it was just coke. I confronted him on it and he told me that him drinking from the paper bag was just a cover-up for liking blacks more then whites. I walked away from Mr. Raymond and went back into the courtroom with Scout. Calpurnia came in with a note and gave it to Mr. Finch. We had been found out. Mr. Underwood took some of the blow for us by saying that we had been there since one o clock. In the end Mr. Finch told us that we had to go home and eat and then we could come back to the courtroom. So we did. We got back in the nick of time and heard the verdict. It was decided that Tom Robinson was found guilty.
